Goodbye summer, hello autumn! Autumn is a beautiful time of the year, when the leaves fall and the world turns auburn, in preparation for the winter to follow. Let’s jump into the seasonal interior trends to follow this autumn 2021. 

Nature-inspired homes

When we think of autumn interiors, we usually think of warm-toned colours to match the new natural shades of the outside world. For 2021, things have switched up from the usual autumn interior trends. It’s time to put forest-inspired items on your wish list, this year forest green is in and orange is out. 

Renowned interior designers are suggesting that now more than ever is the peak of the “bring the outside in” phase after people have spent so long indoors over the past year.

Forest green has gained huge popularity in autumn 2021, it has proven to be a great way to liven up a dull space and make a statement! This can be achieved by painting a singular wall or area forest green, with neutral furniture to blend or the opposite way round for a more adaptive wall shade to transition into winter with. 

Room Dividers

The unpredicted, biggest interior trend for 2021 is room dividers! Simple yet effective, room dividers are a great way to add pops of colour and texture to a bland space. Positioning room dividers between pieces of furniture help to try to create an illusion of separate spaces and cosiness for the colder seasons, especially effective in smaller rooms. This is also a great idea for those of us who continue to work/study from home, as this creates a divide between areas to work at throughout the day and an area to relax in from the evening which gives the atmosphere of more elements in the room.

Following the nature theme, a forest green room divider would be great in a room divider to follow this trend, alternatively, vintage room dividers are equally as beautiful, with hand-made/decorated elements from a past era.
