• Memory Foam - It’s a common misconception that memory foam mattresses cannot be used with a slatted bed frame. You can use a memory foam mattress with our Aurora wooden beds, providing that the wooden slats are no more than 7cm / 3 inches apart. This is to ensure that the memory foam mattress doesn’t sag or dip as much over time as it sinks between the slats.
   
  Ideal for those with a preferred sleeping position, memory foam mattresses literally mould to your body’s shapes and contours as you sleep! 
• Pocket Spring - Like the orthopaedic mattress, pocket spring mattresses are designed with thousands of interconnected springs. General Maintenance

It’s important to regularly dust the wooden bed frame with a microfibre cloth to ensure that there’s no build up of hairs and debris. Not only is this important for hygiene, but it’s a great way to preserve the quality of your wooden bed over time. 

After this process, you can get rid of those fingerprints or marks by taking a very light damp sponge and giving the surface a gentle clean.

To make your bed shine, we suggest using a wooden furniture polish that’s ideal for getting rid of stains, dust and dirt. Leave it to dry naturally, and in no time, your bed will be just as good as new! 

Another tip is to ensure that all of the slats of the Aurora wooden bed frame are all secure and even. Every once in a while, ensure that all the bolts are tightly screwed to make sure the bed is still solid and supportive. 

What To Avoid

1. Excessive Sun Exposure - Over time, the sun’s UV rays can eventually warp wooden furniture and lighten the colour tones. Try to avoid excessive sunlight over time if you can, by positioning your bed in a certain area of your room that’s not excessively exposed to light or invest in some window UV film that softens the sun’s rays.
2. Abrasive Chemicals - When maintaining your wooden bed, we highly recommend that you avoid using harsh chemicals as it can harm the wood and its paint surface. 
3. Excessive Moisture - In an environment where there’s excessive moisture, your wood can be weakened over time. When cleaning, we suggest using as very little liquid as possible, and you could even invest in a dehumidifier to reduce the moisture levels  in your room.
